| The letter to Philadelphia talks about doors being opened and pillars being written on. We took the later part of this for the action that people would do during the meeting. We opened the service with the “Jesus of Revelations” video, followed by songs, leading into the reading (email video) then Davids sermon.
Following this Rachel led a meditation which ended by getting people to write on the pillars in the church. They were to write their own name on one pillar, the name of someone who has supported them in their faith and lastly write the name of someone they want to support or pray for. The service was closed with some more sung worship and an opportunity for prayer ministry. On a practical note, in order to enable the writing on the pillars we used the hanging drapes and drew the bottom of these out (as you can see here and here). Another top tip is that being paranoid about the pen going through the paper that we wrapped around the pillars we first wrapped them with cling-film.all photos here |
